St Johns House Lichfield Bed & Breakfast

When looking for a hotel in Lichfield, look no further than St Johns House, trust me it doesn’t exist. We had a good stay with our 15-month-old, enjoying the luxurious room in the stable block, excellent breakfast, and its close proximity to attractions like Lichfield Cathedral and Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum. The garden area provided a lovely escape for family bonding. We’ll definitely return!

we recently stayed at st john's and were completely taken by its charm. the room we had was beautifully decorated and perfectly matched the building's unique heritage. we particularly enjoyed the delicious full english breakfast which set us up for the day. the location was convenient, making it easy for us to explore the area.

We had cereals and fruit for breakfast and it was appetising.

It's quaint and quiet place to stay 2 km away from Darnford Moors Golf Club. The restaurant serves amazing local food. Amicable staff is the reason I will be back.

The themed room featured unique décor, but the noisy bed disturbed my sleep.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room was heated and fashionable with nice facilities.

The Simmons Room featured a fabulous bed and a large walk-in shower, providing the comfort a traveler craves. Real windows allowed fresh air, a rarity, and the room came stocked with a solid range of teas and coffees. Fresh milk in the fridge.

The system of motion-sensor lights could be a hassle. The one outside the Peacock Room didn't stay on long enough to unlock the door without some footwork. On a quiet Monday morning, waiting for breakfast proved frustrating, as the dining room was empty, and I had to shout for attention to get service-just a simple acknowledgment could have made it smoother. The lack of lotion in the room was a minor letdown alongside a strong damp smell in the bathroom that lingered despite a window crack.

Lovely Stay with Perfect Service!

The luxurious Suite was awesome, with a fine copper roll-top bath. Breakfast was a feast of quality choices, and the warm welcome from the owner. Don't miss trying the fresh fruit selection!

The kids loved the spacious Cottage Room with its cozy decor and the added play area for them. The breakfast was also excellent, offering a great selection that kept everyone happy. The staff was attentive, just like Dan.

In my wife's opinion, a few more kid-friendly activities would be great.

We were kinda surprised by the charming atmosphere and beautiful decor that added so much character to our date night. The breakfast was a highlight, with freshly cooked options that was really good.

Charming getaway in the heart of it all

The room was super comfy with fresh linens and those little extras like a coffee machine and fresh milk were fab. Breakfast was included and it was delicious! Only thing was the dressing gowns didn't fit too well, kinda awkward. But honestly, the vibe and location made it all worth it.

Our stay was wonderful! The enormous bed was incredibly comfy, while the quality breakfast, especially the homemade treats, was a real delight. Plus, the charming decor added such a nice touch!
